Please take exact measurements of your space before ordering this product. If your treatment space is larger than 1300 sq ft, even slightly, this heater may NOT ACHIEVE the above referenced recommended temperature range. The 250,000 BTU Propane Bed Bug Heater is a perfect starter heater for professionals. It has a 130 degree temperature rise and is ductable up to 75 feet with mylar ducting. Additionally, the heater can be partially recirculated to boost performance and capacity. It can be used to treat bed bug infested structures up to 1300 square feet with 8′ ceilings, in a standard 8-10 hour day. The heater is unique in that it is direct-fired with no exposed flame and extremely low emissions.
The heater sits outside of the treatment space and delivers fresh, clean air into the structure with the supplied mylar duct (via access through a window, door, etc.). A convenient high-temperature on/off digital thermostat is also supplied with the heater, which prevents the need to manually adjust the gas flow to control the temperature. There are redundant safeties built-in to the heater, including high-temperature limit switch, airflow switch, and flame detection switch.
The body of the heater is made of heavy gauge steel, protecting the components of the heater and further safeguarding the heater from accidental damage. The heater has a 2 wheel design with lift handle providing easy maneuverability. The heater is simple to operate and turned on by the flip of the switch.
PLEASE NOTE: Power requirements are (1) 15 amp circuit breaker/standard wall outlet. Heater requires a minimum of 3-40lb propane tanks. We recommend the use of a minimum of (6) High Temperature, High Velocity Air Movers to ensure optimal heat penetration throughout your space.
