I want to heat treat my home for bed bugs. Which bed bug heater should I choose?

When choosing a bed bug heater for your home, you’ll want to take exact measurements of the rooms you plan to treat. Most residential customers take a room-by-room treatment approach. Therefore, we recommend that you choose a  Bed Bug Heater Package that corresponds with the square footage of the largest room you want to treat.

Will regular (household) fans work for Bed Bug Heat Treatments?

You can try to use regular fans during a heat treatment, but we can’t guarantee the fan blades or casings are made to withstand high temperatures. They may melt. It’s common for the motors in regular fans to burn out with repeated exposure to high temperatures. And in fact, the velocity of a household fan is not as forceful as we would recommend. If you have questions about the equipment you plan to use, please do not hesitate to call us for assistance.

Can electronics remain in the treatment space?

Generally speaking, electronics can remain inside of your treatment space but need to be unplugged. It’s always a good idea to check the manufacturer’s recommendations before you treat your home.

What other pests can heat exterminate?

Lice at 116°F, Fleas at 115°-117°F, Roaches at 130°F for 4-8 hours.
